Troy Helmer
Holding red salmon fillets , Troy is having fun getting his winter
catch. He has fun, because it's hard to catch a salmon in Maui. Troy has been my
first mate on my boat now for 3 seasons. That just means he gets to do most of
the boat cleaning!
These are personal photo's of our Alaskan summer. Everybody here is personal friend or employee. Winter is long and summer short, if you want to get a hold of Russell you better know his personal cell number or you will never get in his boat, because he will be GONE FISHING until mid August. I'm sure you all understand !
Obie Simonis
Displays his Huge king salmon he worked for all his
life, he threw back about 15 fish before he decided this one was good enough for
him. Obie is a fishermans ,fisherman ! I'm always impressed with his
knowledge of Fish.
My good buddies Jesse and Steve in Prince William Sound with me fishing
for rock fish. We did well even on the shrimp. With these 2 on board we always
catch a good time , even if the fishing is slow.
Russell and Brigg and 2 Kenia River Kings, our other friend Dan
took the picture and could not hold up his fish. We had a great morning 3 Kings
in 2 Hours , what a day !
Russell and Jim Belushi on Stage at
Blues on the
Green concert. Thanks to Frank Dahl who over the years has
been great to me and has introduced me many interesting people. This picture was
given to me by Frank Dahl , Thanks again !
Larraine and Michael with Her 48 lb King Salmon, caught on the Kenai River.
Steven Hill , shows his approval at the fillet table, while Russell works to
keep all happy in the camp. Steven could not believe that a fish has 2 eyes on
the same side of his head, when I pointed out he had the same problem, he just
walked away mumbling something....
Christy
and her Fresh red salmon on the banks of the Kenia River. She caught so many
fish that Steve had to keep fishing just so she did not show him up , didn't
work she out fished him 2 to 1.
